Between 1980 and 1986 we were able to sign 53 licensing contracts with Brazilian companies (Globo Network included) and made more than US$10 million in sales. We generated an option contract with Marvel Productions, negotiating a 13-episode animation series with NBC, and received a letter of intention from Licensing Corporation of America to sell the licensing worldwide, as well as an auspicious evaluation from John P. Freeman (Disney). But the project was stalled due to the comet’s weak appearance.

The Halley Comet returns in live action film, 10 animation episodes, and a videogame.

Bazooka Bunny – Company hired by Halleys Company to produce and distribute worldwide a 90-minute film/TV based on the original creation of the Halleys’ stories and characters. International distribution by Phoenix Worldwide.

NASA maintained a launch station to continue its research on the dark side of the moon.

The Halleys had a sustainability research station in the rocky part of the comet.

The research station was attacked by The Thing's army. Outnumbered, the Halley family had to flee to the dark side of the moon, where it was frozen. Before that, they decided to save little Joy who was transported from the spaceship to the Tijuca Forest, in Rio de Janeiro by a gush of cosmic energy (a speed of light in vacuum).

Baby Joy was found in the Tijuca Forest and adopted by a family of scientists. In the future, Joy will work at NASA.

The Halley's Origin

And, at the very last moment, a group of natives of that planet managed to escape from the destruction aboard a spaceship that was, almost immediately, sucked into a crack in time-space, created by the violence of the explosion of their home planet. And there, in that region of hyperspace, they remained frozen, inert. Until a convulsion—whose causes are unknown, as the whole physics of hyperspace are unknown—in that tunnel between dimensions returned the Halleys to our universe. Here, they awoke. And they realized that their whole history had a meaning and a purpose: to inspire the Planet that had inherited the life that had teemed on their lost world towards Cosmic Harmony, Peace, Knowledge, Creative Existence, Artistic Production, Fraternity, Scientific Progress and Preservation of Life and the Environment...

The Thing (A Coisa)

The Thing is one of the enemies. Deceptive, treacherous, and loves to show power. When in human form, he dresses in robes adorned with diamonds...And then the creature turns to Baby Halley, a little five year old girl, Halley’s daughter. But when he starts to suck on her life force, he tastes such sweetness, so much hope for the future, and more love—mixed with an absolute terror of what is happening to her—than he has ever encountered before. Feelings in their purest state. The THING is surprised…and begins to understand something of itself, of life, of beings, of the universe...

História / History

Os Halleys estão respondendo um chamado de ajuda no quadrante próximo a saturno, quando são atacados por uma nave dos Winners. Em meio a uma chuva de tiros, são atingidos e caem em uma lua de Saturno.

O ambiente da lua é muito hostil variando de temperaturas absurdamente altas a temperaturas congelantes. A nave dos Halleys é muito danificada com a queda e fica impossibilitada de voar, sendo assim os Halleys terão que explorar o planeta em busca de recursos e peças para consertar a nave e poder seguir a sua missão.

É um trabalho de reciclagem de lixo espacial.

Porém o planeta esconde muito mais do que sua hostil atmosfera, esconde segredos, armadilhas e criaturas estranhas que tentarão impedir o êxito dessa nova missão, sobreviver.

The Halleys are responding to a call for help in the quadrant near Saturn when they are attacked by a Winner’s ship. Amidst a hail of gunfire, they are hit and fall on a Saturn moon.

The moon’s environment is very hostile, ranging from absurdly high temperatures to freezing temperatures. The Halleys’ ship is badly damaged by the fall and can’t fly, so the Halleys will have to explore the planet in search of resources and parts to repair the ship and be able to follow their mission.

It’s a space junk recycling job.

But the planet hides much more than its hostile atmosphere. It hides secrets, traps, and strange creatures that will try to prevent the success of this new mission, to survive.
